Macaw Lear

s Arab blue (Anodorhynchus leari) - ary spec ies occurring only in a small area wschoddniej Brazil. According to the IUCN A. leari is currently threatened by extinction, and s ubject to CITES. The common name comes from the coloration of thi s species of macaws. By contrast, the scientific name synonymous and are derived from the English poet and cartoonist Edward Lear, who is the author of many representations of birds, including A. Blue. A. leari was described first by Charles Bonaparte in 1856, but could not determine the area of a larger number of these parrots.
